Beatification of Carlo Acutis- October 10, 2020

A vibrant teenager, Carlo’s life was cut short at 15 by leukemia, but he filled those fifteen years with a lifetime. From childhood, daily Mass, frequent Confession and praying the Rosary were integral to his faith, as he made ‘Jesus the center of his day’. In all other respects, he was as normal a teenager as you could find – he loved soccer, playing video games, and knew his way around the Net. What made him different was that, as a programmer, he built a website cataloguing and promoting Eucharistic miracles so that people could know that "the more often we receive the Eucharist, the more we will become like Jesus, so that on this earth we will have a foretaste of heaven."

He will be beatified today in Assisi, at the Basilica of Saint Francis, 04:00 pm (07:30pm IST)
