Fr Jervis D'souza Appointed Executive Secretary of FABC OHD / CCD

Fr Jervis D’Souza of the Archdiocese of Bombay, has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of the FABC Office of Human Development/Climate Change Desk. The appointment letter states that the decision was made at the FABC Central Committee Meeting at Bangkok, Thailand, on March 4, 2026. The tenure of his position will last from January 1, 2027 until December 31, 2030.
The FABC is the Conference of Asian Bishops, and this appointment is the latest feather in the cap of the Archdiocese of Bombay, signalling its contributions to the Church in India and in Asia at the continental level.
Fr Jervis D’Souza has been Deputy Secretary General of Catholic Bishop’s Conference of India (CBCI) and is currently Coordinator of the Social Apostolate of the Archdiocese with Residence at St Andrew Church, Bandra.
