Plenary Indulgence

It is with great joy that I inform our priests, religious and lay faithful of the Archdiocese that on the occasion of the centenary celebration of the Congregation of the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master, the Apostolic Penitentiary (Rome) has in virtue of the special faculties delegated to it by the Holy Father, declared the grant of a Plenary Indulgence to all those who prayerfully visit the Perpetual Adoration Chapel of Prarthanalya ( 113. B.J. Road, Bandra- West, Mumbai) under the usual conditions.

The stipulated conditions for receiving the Plenary Indulgence are:

  1. Sacramental Confession,

  2. Eucharistic Communion

  3. Prayer according to the intentions of the Holy Father

It is suggested that the time of prayer be concluded with the Our Father, the Creed, prayer to Our Blessed Virgin Mary and the Blessed Founder James Alberione.

The above conditions can be fulfilled in _any parish Church/ Chapel of the convent or religious institution followed by a pilgrimage to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. This Plenary indulgence can be applied also to the souls in purgatory.

The elderly, the sick, and all those who, for serious reasons, are unable to leave their homes, can also receive the indulgence if they unite themselves spiritually to the Jubilee Celebrations, and offer to God their prayers, their pain and the sufferings. They should have the intention of fulfilling the stipulated conditions as soon as possible.

I recommend that our people avail of this special opportunity. The grant of this Indulgence is from November 21, 2023 until March 25, 2024.

With kind regards and best wishes,

+Oswald Cardinal Gracias
