Updated: Mar 10, 2023

Press Note

On the 14th of February 2023, an ad appeared in the classified section of the Times of India issued by Advocate JP Tripathi stating that his client will be purchasing land at Band Stand. The CTS number indicated that this was land owned by the Archdiocese of Bombay - the Clergy Home, the Retreat House and the Basilica of Mount Mary. The Archdiocese responded to the Advocate's ad and has since issued a letter to him. It has also now put up an ad on page 18 of the Classified section of the Times of India dated 8th March 2023. This Classified ad whose pictures appear in this post fully explains the situation and our response. It is sufficient to say that the ad put out by Advocate JP Tripathi on behalf of his client is mischievous in nature and appropriate legal action will follow. For the full transcription of the notice, please see below.
